Podere Scoglio d’Oro is a welcoming farmhouse located in one of the most naturalistic areas of Tuscany – the Pesciatina Switzerland, a territory belonging to the municipality of Pescia and the mountainous area of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The area, also known as “Le Dieci Castella”, in fact includes 10 small and characteristic mountain villages (Pietrabuona, Vellano, Sorana, Castelvecchio, San Quirico, Aramo, Stiappa, Pontito, Fibbialla, Medicina). The villages, almost all dating back to the 11th-14th century, have preserved their medieval appearance, with common elements such as watchtowers and walls and from which there is a fantastic panoramic view of the Pescia river valley. All the villages are close to each other and you can visit them all in one day by trekking or mountain bike. That is an ideal place for relaxation and contact with nature. Podere Scoglio d’Oro is properly located in this enveloping natural environment. In fact, the name “Scoglio d’oro” was given by the villagers of some generations passed to the old farmhouse, built for its whole with stones in vivo, as it recalled the image of a golden rock that rises from a “Green sea”, consisting of the surrounding nature.
The farmhouse is made up of apartments obtained from a farmhouse of the early ‘900 that has recently been expanded with spaces made in a modern way. The structure reflects the classic farmhouse typical of the Tuscan countryside. Renovated and set up to receive guests, an infinity pool with magnesium salts treatment has recently been built. Furthermore there are common areas, with a Finnish sauna and a Jacuzzi. Hot water for winter heating and sanitary ware is generated by a biomass heating plant. Everything is immersed in a large farm, where you can find olive trees and fruit trees of various kinds. But what makes the structure unique is the breathtaking view that you can admire from the various terraces made available exclusively to the customers of each apartment. Located on one of the two hills that embrace the valley Pesciatina, the farm stands out for its highly strategic position. It is also possible to easily reach the major Tuscan cities such as Florence, Lucca, Siena and Pisa. Relaxation, nature, well-being, culture and art that blend perfectly in a perfect marriage.

The property, immersed in the lush Tuscan nature, is located at the center of the most famous Wine and Oil Routes of which the Podere Scoglio d’Oro is a historic producer. Guests are offered free tasting of the fine Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced on the farm. With a 10-minute walk you can reach Piazza Mazzini in the center of Pescia. Collodi, home of Pinocchio, with the famous garden of Villa Garzoni and the house of tropical butterflies is 5 km away. The train station is 3 km away, from where you can easily reach Florence, Pistoia, Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio, Montecatini Terme, the latter only 10 km away. You can also reach the A11 Firenze-Mare motorway in 10 minutes by car from where you can get to Siena, Montalcino, Pienza and Vinci.
