The property consists of a farmhouse with spacious apartments, the inn with bright rooms, the restaurant and the winery where fine wines are produced. From the farmhouse there are numerous paths to the woods, vineyards and olive groves of the property.

Le Fonte in San Giorgio has 15 bright rooms arranged inside the building of the inn. The rooms are furnished in Tuscan style with exposed beams, wooden floors, warm colors for the tapestries. The rooms have a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, heating and TV. Some rooms on the first floor are  internal access to the inn, while the others, located  on the ground floor, are an independent entrance from the garden.

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION AND WINERY

Le Fonti in San Giorgio is a farm owned by the Giovannelli family that has been producing Chianti wines and extra virgin olive oil for three generations. The farm  is managed directly by the owners. The lands of the property are suitable for the cultivation of native vines such as Sangiovese, Pugnitello and Colorino. In addition, the estate has about 900 olive trees destined for the production of extra virgin olive oil. Worth noting is the quality of the oil obtained with hand-picked and crushing with the classic method followed by cold pressing which allows the preservation of the organoleptic properties.

Le Fonti in San Giorgio organizes guided tours of the farm and winery for wine and extra virgin olive oil tastings. In addition, guests can buy directly the company’s products: wine, extra virgin olive oil and grappa.

At the Le Fonti a San Giorgio, wine and extra-virgin olive oil have been produced since the 1960s. To all those who love wine and would like to spend two days relaxing in the Chianti countryside in spring and autumn, the estate offers a weekend dedicated to the world of Chianti: its territory, its colors and scents but also the traditions in the vineyard and in the winery.
