BEGO museo

The BEGO – Benozzo Gozzoli’s Museum collects the frescoes and the sinopias of two monumental tabernacles that Benozzo Gozzoli frescoed in 1484 (Tabernacle of the Madonna della Tosse) and in 1491 (Tabernacolo della Visitazione, about six meters high). Moreover, the sinopias found during the separation of the pictorial part from the tabernacles. From the mezzanine you can closely observe the frescoes. The second tabernacle, that of the Madonna della Tosse, was also placed here.
